Self-disinfecting coating for door handles
We deliver all door solutions with handles with a self-disinfecting coating. An effective solution for managing the hygiene of door contact surfaces
The door handles are treated with Fotonit® photocatalysis coating, which improves the safety of the contact surfaces and fights pathogens spreading through the handles in the customer's premises. With the help of a completely chemical-free coating, the hygiene of the handles is taken care of even between cleaning times.
Fotonit coating treatment can also be implemented in connection with the door handle solutions previously delivered by HSL Group.
Investing in surface hygiene brings savings in sickness absences
More than half of infections are spread through surfaces, which makes the safety of contact surfaces a very critical factor when considering the spread of infectious diseases. In addition, many pathogens are not removed from surfaces by traditional cleaning methods. Disinfecting surfaces is expensive, but not disinfecting becomes even more expensive through sick leave. The self-disinfecting Fotonit® coating helps to solve this problem.
The contact surfaces of the doors no longer act as spreaders of infectious diseases, because the Fotonit® photocatalysis coating offers long-term, safe and durable protection for health. Investing in the surface hygiene of the drawers brings savings in sickness absences

Ecological chemical-free solution
Self-disinfecting door handles promote health and well-being, and are also ecological because they offer cleaner contact surfaces without chemicals, using modern technology instead of toxins.
The operation of Fotonit® coating is based on a chemical reaction initiated by light, in which the released oxygen radicals react with the microbes on the surface of the door handles, destroying them. The coating kills more than 98 percent of common and familiar bacteria and viruses, such as corona and noroviruses as well as coli, listeria and salmonella bacteria. The operation of the coating has been studied for years and it is completely safe for people, animals and the environment.
